Specific cleaning and care kit for microfibres

Cleans easily and effectively all types of microfibres.

Cleaning upholstery is not just a matter of hygiene. If upholstery is not cleaned regularly, over time fatty acids from perspiration and dirt penetrate into the fibres and cause severe damage.

This kit is designed for regular maintenance, and will keep your upholstery looking new for many years. Clean your upholstery thoroughly at least once every six months or whenever the Microfibre Cleaning Cloth proves unable to remove the dirt.

Contact Uniters for information on the most suitable product to deal with
specific cleaning problems.

The kit consists of:

  • 225ml Microfibre Cleaner
  • 1 Microfibre Cleaning Cloth
  • 1 bath mitt
  • 2 sponges

Microfibre Cleaning Cloth

The Microfibre Cleaning Cloth is extremely effective in removing dry dirt from microfibres. Use it dry on dry upholstery. Do not rub too hard.

Microfibre Cleaner

Microfibre Cleaner is specially formulated for cleaning microfibre textiles and removing protein (food), tannin (drink) and most ball point ink stains.

This practical cleaner avoids removing the covers from your furniture and lets you clean a seat in just a few minutes. On average the 225 ml spray is sufficient for cleaning 5 to 6 seats. For oily stains use Textile Degreaser (not included in this kit).

Microfibre Cleaning Cloth

  1. Wrap the 2 sponges in the kit in the Microfibre Cleaning Cloth to make it easier to hold. Use it dry on dry upholstery. Do not rub too hard.
  2. If the Microfibre Cleaning Cloth fails to remove visible dirt, this means that the dirt has penetrated into the upholstery. Use Microfibre Cleaner spray to clean it.

Micofibre Cleaner

  1. Shake the bottle before use. Dampen a cloth with the product and test for colour-fastness on a hidden area of the upholstery. (It is normal for some colour to appear on the cloth after cleaning certain polyester fibres.)
  2. From a distance of 30 cm, spray just enough product on to the upholstery to make it slightly damp.
  3. Clean the upholstery with a bath glove damped in luke warm water. Rinse the bath glove out when it becomes dirty.
  4. Rinse the upholstery with the bath glove a number of times to remove all dirt and all traces of the product.
  5. Dry the upholstery with a clean dry towel. You can use a hair dryer to speed up the drying process if you wish.
  6. To remove stains, spray the product directly on to the stains. Dab it in and rub the stain off with kitchen paper, then proceed as instructed in points 3, 4 and 5 above.

N.B.: Water marks, roughness, and long drying times are all signs of insufficient rinsing. Rinse again as necessary.
